The Boise City Attorney's Office is a medium-sized office dedicated to serving the citizens of Boise by protecting and defending the legal interests of the City.  Our vision is to be Idaho's model public service law firm, known for our talent, agility, service and quality.

Our staff provides the City with civil legal services and also prosecutes criminal misdemeanors and traffic infractions.  Many staff members in the office practice both civil and criminal work to some degree.  We have 30 attorneys and 21 support staff assigned among five Divisions and one Administrative Unit.  Three of the Divisions not only cover at least three criminal court calendars, but also provide civil legal advice to several City departments, such as the Planning and Development Services Department, the Public Works Department, and the Boise Police Department.  Two of our divisions focus primarily on civil matters, specializing in land use issues and litigation.  Our organizational and workload structure has lead to greater job satisfaction and improved work quality among our employees.
