City Resources

The City Resources Division provides support to the Human Resources Department in all aspects of personnel, discipline, and employee policy issues. The division works with all City Departments in personnel matters, represents the City in disciplinary and termination hearings, and responds to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints.

Division members provide advice to the Mayor and City Council on issues related to personnel matters, review and recommend policies and procedures for new employment practices and prepare the related ordinances at the City Council's request.

They also represent and advise the City Purchasing division to ensure the City complies with state and local purchasing provisions; provides legal advice and support for the Boise City Department of Internal Audit, the Library, the Ombudsman, the Code Enforcement Unit, and the City's Ethics Commission.

Division members also provide legal support for the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority.

Finally, this Division takes the lead in reviewing, drafting, commenting, and testifying on legislative matters at the Idaho Legislature.
